Simpson began production in Adelaide in the 1880s and by 1891 had the largest manufacturing plant in Australia. In the 1940s a new factory was opened at Dudley Park where they still produce world class ovens and stoves to this day under the brand names of Chef, Westinghouse and Electrolux.
