Why is my oven not hot enough?

There may be a problem with the element or thermostat. The solution could be to replace the thermostat, or possibly the oven door hinges.
We offer fixed price servicing and carry most elements and thermostats in our vans. See below for our pricing.

Why is my oven door not sealing?

There may be a problem with the door seal or door hinges.
Your oven door can be fixed on the spot as we carry replacement hinges and seals.

Why is my oven noisy?

The most common reason for a noisy oven is a problem with the fan motor.
If you notice your oven is making unusual noises, weather it being from the fan motor, or noisy, scraping door hinges, that's a sign that a service call is in need. If left unattended, a noisy fan motor could cause damage to elements, and worn door hinges can damage the ovens control panel or clock.
OVENMAN® Adelaide stocks Westinghouse fan motors, as well as for Chef and other brands outlined above.

Why does my gas oven not ignite?

There may be a problem with the ignition system in the oven.
It could be as simple as a broken spark plug or a dirty thermocouple, or an electronics fault. In any case we can fix this on the spot.

Why do my hot plates stay on high and not turn down?

The regulating switch is faulty.
We can generally fix these straight away. OVENMAN® Adelaide stocks a wide range of switch regulators for instant replacement.

Can my broken glass/ceramic cooktop be repaired?

In most cases, yes just the glass/ceramic panel can be replaced and is cheaper than replacing the whole appliance.

Why is my oven or cooktop tripping my circuit breaker?

There can be many reasons why your oven or cooktop could be tripping your circuit breaker. It could be a faulty element, it could be an issue of water ingression in the electronics, it could be the fan motor or thermostat has failed. In some cases we've seen rodent damage shorting internal electrics of appliances. In all of these cases, we can successfully diagnose the cause of the electrical fault and provide a cost to repair.

The cost to repair your appliance can be considerably less than replacing it. Call your local OVENMAN® today!
